A former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka has said that most Nigerians do not regret their decisions of not voting President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015. Osita said he had searched all over the country and could not find a single person who regrets not voting for Buhari. ASUU strike: DSS allegedly detains Bauchi chapter chairman. The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) and Bauchi State University, Gadau, chapters of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Sunday criticized the alleged detention of the ATBU chapter chairman, Dr Adamu Babayo, by the Department of State Services (DSS). The Vice Chairman of the association, Dr Ibrahim Maina, who made this known at a joint press conference on Sunday in Bauchi, condemned the action. Maina alleged that Babayo was detained by the DSS operatives on Sunday, when he was invited to the department’s headquarters in Bauchi. According to him the action was a violation of fundamental human rights and requested the DSS to explain the reasons behind the arrest. Former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke to be extradited from UK - EFCC The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed that the process for the extraditing former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke from the United Kingdom has begun. Acting Spokesman of the commission, Tony Orilade said there have been calls from different quarters for the extradition of the former minister over several allegations of impropriety against her. According to Orilade, EFCC’s Operations Department has made presentation to the Legal Department to commence the process, and that process has commenced.
